Hit a theatre and saw ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD and here’s my opinion: Tarentino masterfully takes back the 60s and defeats the Manson family by offering an alternate ending to that tragic night. It’s a tour de trimophe both psychologically and symbolically. IMO, Tarentino’s greatest work, it approaches epic proportions like great classic literature. Look for the plethora of references and allusions, the fantastic attention to detail (even the car radios are playing KHJ Los Angeles with the Real Don Steele on Boss radio). I felt literally IMMERSED in the 1960s. Eye-popping visuals and incredible stellar performances from a star-studded cast. As a child growing up, I remember the news coverage of the murders of Sharon Tate and everyone at her house and the ensuing Manson family news coverage over the next two years. So, last night I went to Cinemark Movies 8 and saw Tarentino’s new film which tackles Hollywood during that time period. See my Movie Review on the Richard Vernadeau channel on YouTube.
